All the Jewelry on this site is designed and
made by me in my studio in Upstate New York.
Porcelain is a type
of ceramics highly valued for its beauty and
strength. All the porcelain beads on this site
are handmade and kiln fired at a very high
temperature. To create the beads I mix
raw porcelain with various minerals to produce
the different colors. The beads are then hand formed
and many are carved and inlaid with colors.
The beads are fired before being glazed, then fired
again at the very high temperature of 2310 degrees
Fahrenheit.
My sterling silver pieces come in various finishes.
High-polish: This gives the silver a very
reflective mirror-like finish.
Hammered: This is achieved with a rounded hammer
and gives the surface a facetted texture which reflects light
especially nicely.
Satin or matte: This is a less reflective
finish, giving the jewelry a softer look which many
people enjoy, particularly for romantic jewelry
pieces.
Oxidized: This is a method of giving silver a
dark patina using liver of sulfur. This is
sometimes called a French gray finish. Shades can
vary from gray to black, black being often used as a
design motif in recessed areas.

My beaded necklaces
and bracelets are strung on the highest quality
49-strand jeweler's wire for strength and
flexibility.
All pieces come in a
cotton-filled gift box.
I hope you enjoy my
jewelry. It was made with great care and
pleasure.
